Why does he hate me? I need advice!?

Okay so i am 14 years old and i really really like this kid who is a year younger then me. i always see him at the roller rink, where all my friends and all his friends go to hang out. one night he skated with me the whole entire night and everyone said he liked me and i thought he did too but then the next week i said hi to him and he just looked at me then skated away! Why does he hate me?? :( then, after he didn't say hi to me, a series of unfortunate events happened and now he thinks i am a total creep! Like whenever i was talking about him he would be like right around the corner and hear me or my friends would say something about him and then he would hear..now he hasn't been at the roller rink for 3 weeks! what happened? :(
