Someone help me? What to do for a 17th birthday?

My birthday is June 24th and I'll be 17. It's not as simple as throw a party, here's the deal. I have NO friends at all, I am home schooled. It would only be my mom and I because I don't have any other family. Also I live in Tucson, it's over 100 degrees so it's very hot and outside activities don't sound appealing. There isn't much around here, there aren't any skating rinks, ice or normal. I can't go bowling because I have wrist complications. Movies and dinner would honestly bore me. I can't go clubbing for obvious reasons. Money is also a little tight because my mom is paying her student loans. There's not much to do in Tucson there are no amusement parks and no water parks in my town. I also want to do something my mom will like. I know it's hard to answer but does anyone have any ideas?
