I'd say that if he's mean to everybody they think hes a jerk, but he's nice to you, then you are his next victim, he may be nice to you know, but once a relationship goes on for awhile, the things that he loved about you will turn into the things he hates the most about you, then he will get jealous and start trying to control you, and before you know it you need a restraining order because he has started putting his hands on you when you want to do things without him!!! no this isnt a joke post, its what i see from what you wrote!!
